Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence. To become a personal licence holder, an individual should obtain a regulated personal licence holder’s qualification. These industries can include pubs, retailers, large night clubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities.
Total process
1st Step
Book and attend a Personal Licence Course & Pass the
Exam. You will receive the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders
Qualification Certificate. For restaurant/Off licence Alcohol selling licence
course.
2ns Step
Apply for a Basic DBS certificate and have a photograph of
yourself endorsed by a person with a prescribed qualification.
3rd Step
Prepare and Submit the Personal Licence Application forms to
the Licensing Authority where you live, with all the supporting documents and
the fee. Take up our Application Service and we do all this for you.
A personal licence allows the holder to
sell or authorise the sale of alcohol. A personal licence is also needed to
apply to become a designated premises supervisor (DPS). Licensed premises can
have more than one personal licence holder.
